gforge-common software package provides collaborative development tool - shared files, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gforge-common
gforge-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gforge-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gforge-common *
You will get with gforge-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
